Softball Recap: Katelyn Mcclure Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bryan

Omaha Central won the last time they faced Bryan and things went their way on Saturday too. The Eagles never let the Bears get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. Considering the Eagles have won nine contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Edie Titus was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Titus was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Omaha Central got a big performance out of Katelyn McClure, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Nichole Palfini was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Omaha Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .750. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Omaha Central's record now sits at 11-8. As for Bryan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Omaha Central has already played their next contest, a 12-0 win against Buena Vista on the 20th. As for Bryan, they will head out on the road to take on Westview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
