Volleyball Recap: Mt. Edgecumbe Takes a Loss

Mt. Edgecumbe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eagle River Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 on Friday.

Mt. Edgecumbe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Eagle River, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Mt. Edgecumbe and Eagle River will both be playing Barrow the next time they take the court. The Wolves will host the Whalers at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Braves will play them later in the day, at 11:30 a.m.
