Basketball Recap: Canton Gets the Win

Wellsboro came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Canton, but Kendall Kitchen wouldn't allow it. The Canton Warriors walked away with a 48-35 victory over the Wellsboro Hornets on Tuesday thanks in part to Kitchen, who went 7 of 13 en route to 21 points and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.

Danah Wesneski was another key player, putting up six points in addition to seven assists and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in assists.

Canton's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Wellsboro, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Canton has already played their next game, a 49-42 victory against Cowanesque Valley on the 30th. Wellsboro has also already played their next contest (against Mansfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
