Basketball Game Preview: Lehigh Valley Academy Jaguars vs. Renaissance Academy Knights

Having just played yesterday, the Lehigh Valley Academy Jaguars will get right back to it and host the Renaissance Academy Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lehigh Valley Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

On Thursday, Lehigh Valley Academy was fully in charge, breezing past Notre Dame 54-27. The Jaguars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Renaissance Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by Lower Moreland 61-33. The Knights were down 57-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Lehigh Valley Academy will need focus on slowing down Brilan Biesecker, one of several Renaissance Academy players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasira Barber, who earned nine points.

Renaissance Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Lehigh Valley Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Lehigh Valley Academy took a serious blow against Renaissance Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 47-17. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lehigh Valley Academy was down 29-9.
