Basketball Recap: Bria Tate Key Part of a Team Effort in Wolves Win

Shasta won the last time they faced Enterprise and things went their way on Friday too. The Shasta Wolves strolled past the Enterprise Hornets with points to spare, taking the game 64-47. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Hornets are ranked 432nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shasta's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bria Tate, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Riley Rosales, who had ten points.

Enterprise's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tianna Lowe, who put up nine points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Lowe is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyn Blackwell, who posted 11 points.

Shasta's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Enterprise, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Shasta and Red Bluff will face off at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Shasta is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season. After both having extra time off, Enterprise and Las Plumas will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Las Plumas has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
