Soccer Recap: Calvary Day Takes a Loss

If Calvary Day was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Liberty County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Islands Sharks by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Calvary Day haven't had much luck with Islands recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Calvary Day's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Islands, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-3.

Calvary Day wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 5-1 win against Statesboro on the 1st. As for Islands, they will host Savannah Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Savannah Country Day will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Islands surely won't give up without a fight.
