Soccer Game Preview: Jackson vs. Locust Grove

The Jackson Red Devils will take on the Locust Grove Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jackson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

Jackson fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Pike County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2. Jackson's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Jared Davis and Roland Lynch scored both of Jackson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Locust Grove made sure to put some goals up on the board against Hampton on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hornets, sneaking past 4-3.

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Locust Grove, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.
