Baseball Recap: Wauseon Victorious

Wauseon won the last time they faced Otsego and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Indians never let the Knights get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

The result came thanks to Thad Reckner's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Wauseon is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-10-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Wauseon's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brady McGuire, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

The win got Wauseon back to even at 10-10-1. As for Otsego, they moved to 14-13 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Wauseon will take on Wayne Trace at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Otsego does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
