Lincoln East extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 7-2. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the North Platte Bulldogs. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by eight runs or more this season.

Savannah Stahly looked comfortable as she tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lucy Barrett, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Bliemeister, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Lincoln East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .409 or higher in six consecutive games.

As for North Platte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-3 Waverly (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.5% over those games).
