Soccer Recap: Palo Alto Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Palo Alto's offense. They lost 4-0 to the Los Gatos Wildcats on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 456th, while the Wildcats are ranked 49th).

This is the second loss in a row for Palo Alto and nudges their season record down to 1-3-2. As for Los Gatos, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2-3.

Palo Alto has already played their next matchup (against Gunn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Los Gatos will face off against Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain View's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
