Grand Junction entered their tilt with Grand Junction Central on Thursday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors, sneaking past 5-3. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly two runs.

Kloe Donahue spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grand Junction saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Clark, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Grand Junction's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Grand Junction Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.

Coincidentally, Grand Junction and Grand Junction Central will both be playing Fruita Monument the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
