Baseball Recap: Fruitvale Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Fruitvale faced off against Big Sandy on Friday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 13-12. Even though they lost, the Bobcats' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

CAYDEN LUPPLACE made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Fruitvale is 3-1 when LUPPLACE posts two or more runs, but 1-4-2 otherwise. CASH BUTLER was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

The defeat snapped Fruitvale's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-5-2 record. As for Big Sandy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
