Soccer Game Preview: San Marin vs. Archie Williams

San Marin is 1-9 against Archie Williams since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The San Marin Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons at 3:15 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

San Marin is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Petaluma.

San Marin's goal came courtesy of Tatum D'Angelica, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, Archie Williams kept a clean sheet against Terra Linda on Wednesday. They beat the Trojans by a goal, winning 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Peregrine Falcons were the better team in the second half.

Archie Williams' win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-4-3. As for San Marin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

San Marin came up short against Archie Williams in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 3-1. Can San Marin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
