Softball Recap: Strasburg Takes a Loss

If Strasburg was feeling good fresh off their 19-2 takedown of Valley last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians fell just short of the Brush Beetdiggers by a score of 12-11 on Tuesday. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Beetdiggers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Madi Olsen and Addi Kent did some serious damage despite the final result: Olsen fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-4, while Kent went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Kent has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Savanah Bradley, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Strasburg's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Brush, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Strasburg is set to challenge their familiar foe Lyons at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brush will face off against rival Sterling at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
