Softball Recap: Wahoo Wins Going Away Against Lakeview

Wahoo had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Lakeview on Saturday. The Warriors blew past the Vikings 8-1. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won four in a row.

Wahoo got a great performance from Emma Meyer as she struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). Meyer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Karryn Eddie was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addison Kenning, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Wahoo's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lakeview, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Wahoo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against St. Cecilia on the 23rd. As for Lakeview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-0 victory against Lincoln Northwest on the 23rd.
