Soccer Recap: Las Plumas Comes Up Short

After flying high against Oroville on Thursday, Las Plumas came back down to earth. The Thunderbirds fell 2-0 to the Live Oak Lions on Tuesday. Considering the last time Las Plumas couldn't score was back in December of 2025, the team can't take the result too hard.

Las Plumas' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-4-1. As for Live Oak, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Las Plumas will take on Corning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Las Plumas' defense better be ready for this one: Corning have averaged an impressive 2.5 goals per game this season. As for Live Oak, they will challenge Oroville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
