Bryan County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Everything went their way against the Jenkins Warriors as they made off with a 17-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Redskins in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won six in a row.
Elizabeth Harvey was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Parker, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Bryan County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jenkins only posted an OBP of .333.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bryan County will face off against Southeast Bulloch at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jenkins, they will square off against McIntosh County Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
