Soccer Game Preview: Clovis vs. Central

Clovis is on a three-game streak of home losses, Central a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Clovis Cougars will host the Central Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Clovis is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Clovis West on Friday. Clovis came up short against Clovis West, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 489th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 96th).

Meanwhile, Central fell victim to Clovis East and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves.
