Soccer Recap: Deer Valley Takes a Loss

Deer Valley lost against Heritage back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Deer Valley Wolverines came up short against the Heritage Patriots, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 963rd, while the Patriots are ranked 472nd).

Deer Valley's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Heritage, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deer Valley will welcome Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Deer Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Heritage, they will challenge Pittsburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.3 goals per game this season.
