Vacaville came into Saturday's matchup looking for another win against Spanish Springs, but Brady Hummel wouldn't allow it. The Cougars blew past the Bulldogs 72-49 on Saturday thanks in part to Hummel, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

Another player making a difference was Jayden Acosta, who went 8-for-10 on his way to 19 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 67% in the last three games he's played.

The victory got Spanish Springs back to even at 2-2. As for Vacaville, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Spanish Springs will take on Bishop Manogue at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vacaville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Nevada Union at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th.
