Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dublin). They never let the Southwest Patriots get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Fighting Irish with their most commanding win of the season.
Xavier Reese made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.
