Soccer Game Preview: Oakland vs. Skyline

Oakland is 0-7 against Skyline since February of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Oakland Wildcats will take on the Skyline Titans at 4:00 p.m. Oakland will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Oakland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They beat Fremont by a goal, winning 2-1.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Skyline made sure to put some goals up on the board against Oakland Tech II on Tuesday. They never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Give the Titans' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

They hit Oakland Tech II with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nakayla Swann, Maulini Hafoka, Fiori Morin, and Sabrina Flores.

Oakland's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Skyline, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Oakland suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Skyline in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Oakland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
