Softball Recap: Cheyenne/Reydon's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

The home team had won the previous seven meetings between Cheyenne/Reydon and Canute, and Canute kept the tradition alive. The Bears fell 8-3 to the Trojans on Thursday. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 16-4 to the Trojans when the teams met back in August of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kimbo Denney made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

The loss snapped Cheyenne/Reydon's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 19-11-1 record. As for Canute, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.

Cheyenne/Reydon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 7-0 defeat against Merritt on the 22nd. As for Canute, they have also already played their next game, a 5-1 loss against Shattuck on the 22nd.
