Volleyball Recap: Tri-Central Comes Up Short

Tri-Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They came up short against the Western Panthers, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Tri-Central took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-12, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Rylynn Gibbs, who had seven aces and five digs. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high.

Tri-Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Western, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-11.

Tri-Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Culver Community on the 20th. As for Western, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Maconaquah on the 18th.
