Baseball Recap: Lumpkin County Comes Up Short

Lumpkin County and Cherokee Bluff squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lumpkin County had to settle for second. They lost 9-3 to the Bears. The Indians have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Lumpkin County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Cherokee Bluff, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-11.

While Lumpkin County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
