Assumption waltzed into their contest on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Albia Blue Demons by a score of 6-3. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Assumption pushed their record up to 15-10-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Albia, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 20-1.

Coming up, Assumption will take on Central DeWitt at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Albia, they have already played their next matchup, a 6-1 victory against Davenport West on the 28th.
