Softball Recap: Veterans Extends Winning Streak to Three

Veterans had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Northside Eagles an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Warhawks have won 13 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Veterans' victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Northside, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-16.

Coming up, Veterans is taking a road trip to square off against Mary Persons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northside, they will host Warner Robins at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
