Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Janai Townes and Keirra Dickey Lead Southwest Dekalb to Victory

Southwest DeKalb won the last time they faced Cross Keys and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Phoenix by a score of 2-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-16.

Southwest DeKalb was led to victory by Keirra Dickey and Janai Townes. Dickey had five kills, five aces, and one block, while Townes had eight assists and four aces. That's the most aces Dickey has posted since back in August.

Southwest DeKalb's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Cross Keys, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Southwest DeKalb has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Lithonia on the 23rd. As for Cross Keys, they will look to defend their home court on October 1 against Tucker at 6:00 p.m.
