Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cherokee Christian). They blew past the Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints 23-13 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won eight in a row.

John Sturniolo was a standout: he scored four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Charlie Goodwin was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Cherokee Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Cherokee Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Cherokee Christian will welcome Cornerstone Prep Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against Scholars Guild Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
