Soccer Game Preview: Calvary Christian vs. St. Anne-Pacelli

Calvary Christian is 0-3 against St. Anne-Pacelli since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Calvary Christian Knights will look to defend their home pitch against the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings at 7:30 p.m.

Last Thursday, Calvary Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Academy for Classical Education and fell 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Knights came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Gryphons are ranked 205th).

Meanwhile, St. Anne-Pacelli kept a clean sheet against Strong Rock Christian on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Patriots. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

This is the second loss in a row for Calvary Christian and nudges their season record down to 5-3-1. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Calvary Christian suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to St. Anne-Pacelli in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Calvary Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
