Softball Recap: Holt Indians vs. Orchard Farm Eagles
Holt was the 8-7 winner over Orchard Farm when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Thursday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Alivia Claus put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Claus was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Claus wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Korah Haag, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Holt's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Orchard Farm, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holt will take on Fort Zumwalt North at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Orchard Farm, they will head out to challenge Westminster Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
