After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Shelby, Scotland County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Schuyler County Rams, sneaking past 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted against the Rams since September 19, 2017.

Keeley Brown spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maty Buford, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Frederick, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Scotland County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Scotland County's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Schuyler County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Scotland County will venture away from home to face off against Salisbury at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Schuyler County, they will head out to square off against Brookfield at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
