Soccer Game Preview: AGBU vs. Le Lycee

The AGBU Titans will head out on the road to take on the Le Lycee Lions at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. AGBU is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.6 goals per game this season.

AGBU took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Pilibos an 11-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Sevana Fuentes as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Le Lycee has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 1. They came up short against de Toledo on Monday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Le Lycee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1131st, while de Toledo are ranked 530th).

AGBU pushed their record up to 7-4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matchups. As for Le Lycee, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7-1.

AGBU got the 'W' in their previous meeting on January 12th against Le Lycee by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
