Baseball Game Preview: Pierce County Bears vs. Coffee Trojans

For the second straight game, Pierce County will face off against Coffee. The Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last six games Pierce County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Pierce County is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest defeat since February 10th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Coffee by a score of 4-2. The Bears haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Coffee has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Pierce County, their loss dropped their record down to 19-8.
