Soccer Game Preview: Carter vs. Bloomington

Carter and Bloomington are an even 3-3-3 against one another since December of 2017, but likely not for long. The Carter Lions will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Bloomington Bruins at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Carter will be strutting in after a victory while Bloomington will be coming in after a defeat.

Carter's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Grand Terrace by a score of 2-0.

Grace Baeza and Isabel Avila scored both of Carter's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Bloomington fell victim to Colton and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bloomington's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Carter, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Carter took their win against Bloomington in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 5-1. Does Carter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bloomington turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
