Kouts entered their tilt with Boone Grove on Friday with 23 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 24. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against the Wolves. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs & Fillies have posted since May 7th.

Vance Glassburn looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kouts saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Garrett, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Garrett is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Billy Miller was another, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Kouts always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .531 or higher in four consecutive games.

Kouts' victory bumped their record up to 24-1. As for Boone Grove, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-12.

The Mustangs & Fillies will face off against Griffith at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (37 vs. 221). Meanwhile, Boone Grove (ranked 163rd) will meet Whiting (ranked 359th) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
