Basketball Recap: Rocklin Triumphs

Rocklin saw some tournament action on Saturday. They escaped with a win against the San Marcos Knights by the margin of a single free throw, 50-49. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thunder.

Bianca Slone continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 of 19 on her way to 22 points and eight rebounds. The matchup was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gisele Negueloua, who posted 11 points in addition to six assists and six boards.

Rocklin's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for San Marcos, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Rocklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-45 loss against El Capitan on the 30th. As for San Marcos, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-44 win against Clovis North on the 30th.
