Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eleanor Roosevelt). They breezed past the Northwestern Wildcats to the tune of 61-0 on Friday. The Raiders have beaten the Wildcats the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eleanor Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Donte Whitaker, who picked up 71 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 30 yards. Those three receiving touchdowns gave Whitaker a new career-high. Bryce Durham was another key signal caller, throwing for 90 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Eleanor Roosevelt's defense and their four sacks. Joshua Price was especially locked on to Northwestern's QB and sacked him twice. Whitaker got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Eleanor Roosevelt's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Northwestern, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eleanor Roosevelt will take on Suitland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Raiders 6.5, the Rams 5.2) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Northwestern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bladensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
