Basketball Recap: Hamilton Comes Up Short

Hamilton played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 63-13 loss at the hands of the Quincy Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

Hamilton got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Ally Odom and Melissa Zamora, who each put up three points.

Shelby Nussle was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds for Quincy. Nussle's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hana Hostetter, who posted 19 points.

Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Quincy, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5.

When Hamilton and Quincy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Hamilton will try to stop Modoc's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Quincy will take on East Nicolaus and their four-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
