Grant waltzed into their game on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Newaygo Lions 12-2. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Austin Tyers was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had over his last three contests. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Grant got a massive performance out of Austin Gragg, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases Gragg has posted since back in April. Kohen Obenauf was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Grant was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Grant's win bumped their record up to 26-6. As for Newaygo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-16-1.

Looking ahead, Grant is taking a road trip to challenge Anderson at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Newaygo, they will host Fruitport at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
