Softball Recap: South Central Calhoun Comes Up Short

South Central Calhoun was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 17-2 to the Pocahontas Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-1 back in May.

South Central Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Pocahontas, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

South Central Calhoun didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 29-0 defeat against East Sac County on the 20th. As for Pocahontas, they have also already played their next game, an 11-3 loss against Webster City on the 19th.
