Football Recap: Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia Takes a Loss

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia lost against Brown County back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Trojans were dealt a 42-8 loss at the hands of the Hornets. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 377th, while the Hornets are ranked 181st).

Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Brown County, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia will challenge rival Beardstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Brown County is set to face off against their familiar foe Camp Point Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Hornets 5.8, the Panthers 2.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
