Basketball Recap: Susquenita Takes a Loss

Susquenita lost against Pequea Valley back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Susquenita Blackhawks were beaten by the Pequea Valley Braves 61-32. The contest marked the Blackhawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Susquenita's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayahna Fleisher, who posted ten points and five assists. Tierney Stuempfle was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Susquenita now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Pequea Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Susquenita wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-32 victory against Halifax on the 12th. As for Pequea Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-27 win against Octorara Area on the 13th.
