            Gridley lost against Las Plumas back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Gridley Bulldogs lost  53-33 to the Las Plumas Thunderbirds. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Bulldogs have suffered  against the Thunderbirds since January 21, 2022.
 Gridley lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Andrea Guillen, who  posted six  points.
 Las Plumas was led to victory by  Ava Hepworth and  Liliana Carrillo.  Hepworth  dropped  a double-double on 12 points and 14  rebounds, while  Carrillo  put up 12  points and five  blocks. The dominant performance gave  Carrillo a new career-high in  blocks. Another player making a difference was  Isabelle Olivares, who  scored 11 points.
Gridley is  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-15. As for Las Plumas, the  win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-7.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gridley has  already played their next  matchup (against Corning), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Las Plumas will head out to  challenge Live Oak  at 7:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Live Oak: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Las Plumas has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
