Football Recap: Wheatland Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wheatland gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They took down the Center Cougars 29-12. The win was nothing new for the Pirates as they're now sitting on three straight.

One reason for the win was Wheatland's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 6.5 sacks. Leading the way was Brody Karas with two. He is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Wheatland's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Center, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wheatland is set to challenge their familiar foe Oakmont at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Center will take on rival Bear River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
