Hempfield has gone 6-1 against Ephrata recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hempfield Black Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Ephrata Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Hempfield came up short against Penn Manor and fell 54-47. The loss continues a trend for the Black Knights in their matchups with the Comets: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Ephrata unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Manheim Township. The contest was a 17-17 toss-up at halftime, but the Mountaineers couldn't quite close it out.

Ephrata's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4. As for Hempfield, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Hempfield lost to Ephrata on the road by a decisive 53-39 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Hempfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
