Football Recap: Rensselaer Central Takes a Loss

Rensselaer Central lost against Tipton back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bombers received a blow as they fell 33-14 to the Blue Devils. The Bombers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Rensselaer Central still got an impressive performance from Carter Ogborn, who rushed for 73 yards and a pair of TDs.

A big part of Tipton's win came down to the chemistry between Quinn Tolle and his top target Dakota Garmon. Tolle threw for 283 yards and three touchdowns while Garmon picked up 151 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Rensselaer Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Tipton, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Rensselaer Central will square off against Lafayette Central Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bombers will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Tipton, they will face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
