Washington County never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Thomson Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Golden Hawks, who have now won 14 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Washington County is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Thomson, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Looking ahead, Washington County will face off against Academy for Classical Education at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Hawks 3.3, the Gryphons 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Thomson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
