Soccer Recap: Denver Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sumner-Fredericksburg on Friday, Denver came back down to earth. The Cyclones took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Denver of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Denver's loss dropped their record down to 7-7-3. As for Dike-New Hartford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1-1.

Denver wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Aplington-Parkersburg on the 5th. As for Dike-New Hartford, they are taking a road trip to face off against North Fayette Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
