Baseball Recap: North Shore Country Day Comes Up Short

North Shore Country Day had taken Chicago University down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Raiders fell just short of the Maroons by a score of 14-13. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Wednesday (12), the Raiders still had to take the loss.

Gerald Kalotis was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Max Flemma, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

North Shore Country Day's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-4. As for Chicago University, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-7.

Looking ahead, North Shore Country Day will be playing at home against Latin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chicago University, they will head out on the road to square off against Saint Ignatius College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on the 25th.
